Europe prepares for coldest winter in 1000 years.
Forecasters say this winter could be the coldest Europe has seen in the last 1,000 years.
The change is reportedly connected with the speed of the Gulf Stream, which has shrunk in half in just the last couple of years. Polish scientists say that it means the stream will not be able to compensate for the cold from the Arctic winds. According to them, when the stream is completely stopped, a new Ice Age will begin in Europe.
Global cooling has been predicted by some models.
Can we push up "Global Warming" just a few years?
ReplyDeleteAs unlikely as predictions of blistering heat a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI think Al Gore is probably turning over in his grave. Oh wait, sorry, he's still alive.

ReplyDeleteIf you were ever educated just slightly you must understand that when the Gulf Strem slows by half as proven by hard measurements, it´s no joke or propaganda. Further, ice cores, bored out of the Greenland Ice, have proven that the transit from warm to Ice-age in northern Europe has occured in as short a time as 5 years earlier in history....
NO IT'S NOT.

i ordered the book the "Population Bomb" which i read in the 70's. author paul erhlich warned about too many people/too much co2/and how the gulf stream would slow causing an ice age in europe. we have not heeded his warnings, and the stupid republicans in the u.s. STILL won't get their heads out of the sand.
